Description
What is the purpose of this form?
Parking permits for certain professional service providers may be issued:
for vehicles used for medical services;
for vehicles used by professionals providing homecare to dependent persons or healthcare services;
for trade vehicles used to carry out installation, repair or maintenance work for customers.
Any vehicle used for professional purposes and equipped with this parking permit clearly displayed in the windscreen may park, without restriction, throughout the City of Luxembourg, on the roadside, as well as in overground car parks, for as long as is strictly needed to provide the service in question, without prejudice to any other current regulations.
Drivers of vehicles used for certain professional activities do not have to adhere to maximum parking times or pay parking meter fees, as a fixed fee is paid in advance to obtain the parking permit.
Application for a professional parking permit is optional. Applications must, however, be made by the owner of the vehicle, or its driver (user) and be accompanied by supporting documentation evidencing the professional activity to be performed in the City of Luxembourg as well as by the vehicle's registration certificate (carte grise). If necessary, applicants may be requested to provide other additional supporting documents.
Applicants can ask for a professional parking permit to be issued for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, as required. Each applicant can have an unlimited number of professional parking permits. Three separate vehicle registration numbers can be listed on the same professional parking permit. It can, however, only be used for one vehicle at a time.
