Requirements for making a request for a rent review

Chapter 1 – Setting of rents for residential properties


Art. 8. The party who believes that, by virtue of the stipulations of this law, they are entitled to apply for an increase or a decrease in rent must inform the other party of their intention in writing; failing this, the commission will reject the application as invalid. If no agreement has been reached within one month, the claimant may apply to the college of the mayor and aldermen of the municipality in which the accommodation in question is located. The college of the mayor and aldermen shall immediately forward the application to the relevant commission. All requests must specify the subject to which they relate. No applications will be accepted within the first six months.
